Michael is a Sunday Times / LDC award-winning business leader with more than 25 years of experience across the leisure and property sectors. A dynamic CEO, coach, and keynote speaker, he brings boardroom credibility and operational know-how to every stage he steps onto. Today, he delivers a portfolio of services spanning executive coaching, business and strategy development and inspirational keynotes designed to transform leadership capability and commercial outcomes.
As former CEO/MD of MDL Marinas Group, Michael led the organisation through a period of immense change—navigating the COVID era and reshaping the business to pursue new growth pathways. Under his leadership, the organisation cultivated a customer-centric and growth-minded culture, empowered by a cohesive executive and non-executive board. He spearheaded the development of a sustainability-focused health and fitness brand and launched a points-based customer loyalty scheme, fuelling double-digit profit growth.
Michael's leadership impact extends across IT, HR, Finance, and Business Development, and he holds a proven track record in ESG strategy, setting a course for net-zero carbon by 2030 and implementing a robust sustainability investment programme tied to emerging EPC legislation.
